Partial Hospitalization Program

Partial Hospitalization Program – Adolescent Track

The Adolescent Track of The Moore Center's Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), offered for male and female patients ages 13 to 18, is a comprehensive, medically-supervised program for the treatment of eating disorders. Because eating disorders in young patients affect the whole family unit, family involvement is a mainstay of this program, as well as the development of lifelong recovery skills. Adolescents and their families may choose to participate in the program 5 days-per-week or 7 days-per-week, depending on each patient's unique treatment needs.

The Moore Center's PHP offers structured recovery programming while providing opportunities for adolescent patients and families to practice recovery outside of the controlled treatment environment. Patients continue to live at home, or out-of-area families can reside in The Moore Center apartments, enabling them to remain among friends and family while pursuing recovery in a real world context. Patients are also able to stay connected to their school and academic commitments through daily private tutoring included in the program. The program curriculum is tailored to address contemporary issues faced by adolescents and also to their developmental stage.
