MEHRI D. MOORE, M.D.
Program Founder and Medical Director
Mehri D. Moore, M.D., a board-certified psychiatrist, has specialized in the treatment of eating disorders for over twenty years and is widely regarded as one of the Pacific Northwest’s leading authorities on eating disorders and related family issues. Drawing from her extensive professional experience, Dr. Moore has developed a comprehensive, collaborative approach to the treatment of eating disorders. She conducts individual and group psychotherapy sessions as well as oversees the staff at The Moore Center. In addition, she frequently lectures on and provides training in the treatment of eating disorders.
Dr. Moore holds an M.D. from the University of Tehran and received her residency training in general psychiatry at the University of Washington. She also has a certificate in child and adolescent psychiatry from the Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic. Prior to founding The Moore Center, Dr. Moore was the Medical Director of the Eating Disorder Program at Swedish Medical Center. Dr. Moore is a member of the National Eating Disorders Association and the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.
